Elea is a clinical neuropsychologist with more than 18 years of experience in the field. She was trained in both psychotherapy and neuropsychological/psychological assessment. Neuropsychology is the study of the relationship between how our brain functions and our behaviour. Neuropsychologists help us to understand the positive and negative cycles in our lives - including cognitive, emotional, and social patterns of functioning. They have become increasingly involved in the wider application of their skills to groups and organizations - while understanding that it is the individuals in those groups that drive the success of the organization.

Elea‘s depth of understanding in neuroscience and the most up to date research, supports her role as thought partner, researcher and advisor at OnCourse.

Her passion is about creating interventions that strengthen success, health and resilience. It is about creating new pathways in our brain to move off the endless wheel of repetition - to a new road that supports innovation, hope and drive.

Client Experience

Elea completed her internship and postdoctoral training at St Mary’s Medical Centre in San Francisco. Her work primarily focused on individual consultation and neuropsychological assessment. She worked with adults, children and adolescents with a range of complex cognitive challenges, psychiatric and functional difficulties, developmental disorders, dementia, mental illness and trauma. She worked with individuals and groups.

Elea has been in private practice since 1999. She consults and provides services to organizations to better understand and provide support to employees. She also consults to schools who are attempting to provide appropriate services for students and individuals who need to find their niche in their world.

Elea brings a depth of understanding to the question of what it takes for us to lead successful lives, regardless of the starting point. Her knowledge in neuroscience and neuroplasticity allows the interventions she has with clients to be effective and sustained. Elea has an easy going, warm personality.

Interests: Elea lives a full and rewarding life in San Francisco with her three daughters and husband Jacques, who is an acupuncturist and chef!
