He has a deep passion for working with individuals and teams who are focused on developing their capacities, understanding and effectiveness along with organisations wishing to improve the value and quality of their human capital and culture. Michael helps bring to life, powerfully and sustainably, the creative best within leaders and teams in ways that are empowering, results driven and transformative.
Michael particularly enjoys partnering with clients during the coaching engagement to enable, grow and integrate multiple leadership literacies and meta-cognitive capacities in areas such as relational and emotional intelligence, authenticity, self-awareness, systems awareness, personal effectiveness and “executive wisdom”.
He suggests our “mind” determines the quality of ones being and functionality at the level of an individual organism by its ability (or not) to regulate and manage the flow of information and energy within and in its relationship to the external environment. This process results in the introduction (more often unconsciously) into the organism; neural, energetic and somatic structures that reflect an “embodied” mindset. In much the same way business leaders and executives may be considered the “corporate mind” of an organisation.
Michael essentially works with the neuroplasticity of the “corporate mind” to assist organisations improve professional and business performance across multiple levels. Working with leaders in this context engages their ability to consciously develop themselves and their capacity to better create, manage and influence the organisational conditions that enable the systemic embodiment of positive collective values, beliefs and attitudes (culture) and the accompanying internal structures, processes and systems that underpin superior business performance and the creative use of resources and capabilities.
By adopting a systemic business lens to focus on the key drivers that fuel results in both business and human contexts, Michael aims to support the ability of leaders and teams to meet the challenges of post-modern complexity, uncertainty and change in order to remain engaged, resilient and responsive in pursuit of sustainable performance, mission and profitability
